You know you're obviously pregnant when you have to ask your husband to put your socks on for you. Yes I can no longer dress my feet without assistance. I'd been having trouble bending forward for a few weeks but I never thought it would come to this!
I visited a friend yesterday with another friend and we shared a message from church about families and how being married for time and all eternity changes how we treat one another. Knowing you've made a choice to spend forever with someone and to love them for the rest of time can help give that little extra push when things get a little tougher or just make you look at differences differently whether it means accepting them or working on them. I then had a discussion with Ryan on this and I am telling you right now, I have married a very smart man. He really has this whole thing down pat! It also made me realise that sometimes in marriage we have the tendency to focus on what we want our spouse to change or to be doing rather than what we would need to be changing and doing. If you want something better in your relationship it has to start with you. Also it doesn't necessarily help talking about what you want your spouse to change... who wants their weaknesses to be consistently pointed out to them? Is that really going to help? I guess that comes down to the whole striving to be less selfish. It really was a great conversation, a re-opening of the eyes I guess. Sometimes we get a little complacent or trials come and we get so wrapped up in those and forget the simple things. I wanted to make sure I wrote these things down so I didn't forget them.
I must add too.... I love rice. Lovely perfectly cooked fluffy rice. Good stuff.
