Summer!

I know I've been so bad at blogging but finding the time and the energy to sit at the computer and type has been in short supply! Paige and I have had a lot of fun this summer, once we stopped having Dashiell with us the weather improved, my mum came to stay for two weeks, we went and visited Paige's cousin Jaime with grandma for a night and we've had lots of time with friends and going to the park :)
Some of Paige's achievements in the last few months (she's now 15months)....
  • She started walking in July
  • She waves and says hi and bye
  • When you ask her to dance she boogies and spins round - spinning being the big new thing.
  • She loves shaking her head 'no' and last week for the first time for 'yes'
  • She found her nostrils and presently tried to see how far up her thumb would go
  • She eats with a fork and a spoon
  • We have discovered she's not much of a breakfast person - figures though, Ryan isn't either and I can go either way.
  • Ask her what noise a monkey makes and you get a screech
  • Ask her what a fish does and she smacks her lips together
  • We got her a little chair and it's so cute she sits in it and will read her books, she actually reads out loud!
  • She is fearless of water, she had a great time at a little wading pool and sprinklers running right through them!
  • She loves belly buttons - she doesn't like wearing clothes that restrict her access to seeing her belly. It's cute with my huge belly she likes to see my belly button too and give my tummy kisses. When asked if she loved her baby sister one time after kissing my belly a few times she smiled and shook her head 'no'.
  • She has a wicked sense of humour, she's absolutely hillarious and knows it.
  • She has a shoe fetish - she wears my shoes and when she wants to go out she'll get hers and sit on the bottom step to have them put on.
  • She plays peek-a-boo. She covers her face with her hands, it's sooooo cute!
  • She definately understands most of what we say to her
  • We live by the airport and whenever she hears a plane goes running to the window pointing to the sky saying ba-pa, ba-pa! It's even more exciting for her when she's outside and can see the planes landing so close.
  • In the mornings she gives Ryan a kiss and waves and says bye. When he's out the door she runs to the window and watches him until he's out of sight waving and saying bye. When she hears the door open in the afternoon she starts shouting dada, dada! and runs to the front door.
  • Ryan and I sometimes give Paige back scratches if she's sitting still for a few minutes. Paige has started giving us back scratches too. It is VERY cute.
  • When Paige see's another baby crying she gets a very very concerned look and stands staring, then she wants to give them a kiss in the hope it will make it better. She'll be a great big sister.
She is such a wonderful little girl, we really are so lucky. I love being home with her so much, we have some really wonderful moments together that I wouldn't trade for the world. The more I'm with her the more excited I get for baby number two as well. The two sisters together, and just how lucky we will be to have two little girls and double the special moments!
